Hay Packing Teams
Packing hay is a great first step in volunteering. Bales of hay are broken apart and packed into boxes for sale.
The minimum commitment is one 4-hour shift every other week.
Hay packer volunteers in Kearny Mesa must leave a change of clothes, shoes, masks, socks, and laundry bag at the shelter for us to disinfect and store.
Volunteer Requirements:
The minimum age to volunteer is 16. Volunteers between the age of 16 and 18 will be required to have a parent or guardian on-site for the entirety of their shift. Parents will also be required to complete a parental consent form.
